Reader Update: How Was The Morning Commute?

As the LIE shut down indefinitely, thousands of Sachem residents head back to work after snowy weekend.

This morning thousands from the Sachem community had to hit the roads today, if possible, and report back to work. As late as 11 p.m. last night, residents were still reporting on our Facebook page that the local roads were still unplowed.

Meanwhile, Suffolk County Police have extended its closure of the LIE between exits 57 and 73, a move that no doubt put extra strain on the remaining east-west and north-south arteries of the county.

For those of you who attempted to punch the clock today...how did the morning commute go? Was it a nightmare, or did your boss keep the doors closed another day?
