Community Update

As I sit in my kitchen I look through the window at the once beautiful house across the street from me. Vacant for about five years it was once a beautiful home and still can be. Every year when the leaves fall with the ten trees in the front yard, I end up bagging about 100 bags of leaves from that yard that blow into my yard and street. Every neighbor has complained to someone. The company hired by the bank to maintain the yard and house come randomly, We have spoken to them on the phone, and in person. I tell them your landscapers come, take a picture of about a ten by ten area, they blow the leaves, take a picture and leave. Each new landscaper that comes does the same thing and is there for about a total of five min. The companies excuse is they have 300 houses. I live in a beautiful development where people upkeep there homes and yards. Its really a shame when my elderly neighbor has to pay a landscaper for someone elses leaves. Neighbors have called the town, spoke to many politicians and nothing is still getting done. The curb now has weeds growing in the street and leaves are blowing again. You ask, "why doesn't the neighbors get together and do it? my reply would be we would have to do it for the fifth year now. Its a shame when none of the surrounding neighbors have no trees. Its a shame companies can get away with this especially when there paid from the banks to maintane homes that are empty.
