Spiritual Guidance from "The Italian Stallion" Morphs Into A Book

Author Felice Cantatore Offers Readers A Unique And Inspiring Tale About The Law of Attraction And Spiritual Grace Meets Rocky Balboa.

In this thought-provoking memoir about an average man, his passion for the “Rocky” series and a special photograph that catapulted his desire to reach for more, Felice Cantatore will walk you through his journey and motivate you to rewriting your tomorrow. Last week, August 23rd, Cantatore was able to share his message and “Rocky Spirit” at the recently renovated Courtyard by Marriott, MacArthur Airport Hotel in the book’s launch.

The story began in 1976 when a movie, written by Sylvester Stallone about the World's Heavyweight Championship and the "Italian Stallion,” a small-time guy with big-time guts who yearns to be a hero, just once. Cantatore, much like many people who’ve seen it, became inspired by the movie’s message. He found characteristics in the main character in himself, and implanted the soul of a champion.  “At that age, you are like a piece of clay waiting to be molded. I am grateful to have a movie franchise such as Rocky as a lifelong mentor,” Cantatore states.

“Rocky Spirit” shows the parallel of the movie with Cantatore’s own life. The climactic moment being when on top of the now-famous steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Cantatore took a moment to take in his recent accomplishment and was convinced to pose like his idol for a photograph. The photograph ended up becoming a “million-to-one shot” and the motivation to write his story.

Cantatore has garnered an impressive following and on Thursday was no different. Attendees were privileged to a more intimate event with the author. Set up on the first floor of The Courtyard, Cantatore talked candidly with guests about his story. Guests of the hotels who were unaware of Cantatore’s book were privileged to the event, as well. A few guests walked towards the table, curious about the commotion and were excited to hear on about Canatore’s remarkable story.  The Courtyard was honored to feature a local author and have out of state guests experience an authentic Long Island event. The hotel provided a light fare for attendees and glasses of wine that created an enjoyable, sophisticated affair.  A natural fit, the refined venue complimented a quality book and created a relationship for possible future endeavors.
