Sachem Students Join the Workforce!

On Wednesday, November 13, Sachem East High School students Timberlin Nunez and Colleen Davis spent a day in the corporate world with NBTY, a leading health and wellness company with headquarters in Ronkonkoma, NY.

The students were hand-picked, based on essays they wrote and submitted, to join NBTY executives for “a day in the life of a business” experience. The students had the opportunity to learn about what it is like to work in different roles at a successful multimillion dollar business, ask questions, and even joined NBTY CEO, Jeff Nagel, Puritan’s Pride President, Peter Shapiro and other company executives for lunch. They gained a first-hand, behind the scenes look at some of the day-to-day functions of a successful business, including Marketing and Research, Social Media, Graphic Design, Contact Center Operations and Warehouse/Distribution.
