Santorum Reaches out to Democratic Voters in Michigan
GOP Rick Santorum reaches out to Michigan Democrats to vote against Mitt Romney.
Recently this week, GOP contender Rick Santorum sent out an automated phone call to registered Democratic voters in the state of Michigan. The calls were a plea to get out and vote against the GOP frontrunner Gov. Mitt Romney.
The calls stated things such as, “Romney opposes Auto industry bailout” which is a clear issue in the auto capitol of Michigan. Writers have mocked Santorum’s tactic, cause he himself opposed the bailout.
These calls also have Romney and the Republican foundation up in arms. Why would a GOP candidate send out a plea to Democrats to come out and help defeat his own party’s front running candidate?

The answer is clear, and that is so that he himself may win the nomination, and who would blame him for trying? Is Santorum right for sending out these calls to Democrats?
That is up for debate. One thing is for sure though, this bickering back and forth between the GOP candidates and now this new plea to defeat the GOP frontrunner, will lead to lower voter turnout, more money spent, and an inevitable second term for Obama.
