Volunteering has a meaningful, positive impact on both your community and on yourself. Looking for volunteer opportunities close to home? This Saturday, March 29 from 10am to 1pm at Sachem Public Library, meet with representatives from area organizations who are actively looking for assistance. There is a volunteer opportunity for every type of interest! Adults and older teens (16+) welcome. There will be over 25 organizations in attendance, including: Make-A-Wish Foundation, Guide Dog Foundation, Bide-A-Wee, New York Blood Center, Visiting Nurse Service, Foster Grandparent Program, Long Island Greenbelt, Sweetbriar Nature Center, Sierra Club, Family Service League, Long Island Housing Services, Dress for Success, and Girl Scouts of Suffolk County.
