MEET THE AUTHOR: Reed Farrel Coleman @ Sachem Public Library

Meet award-winning mystery author Reed Farrel Coleman at the Sachem Public Library on December 5 at 7pm..

Called a “hard-boiled poet” by NPR’s Maureen Corrigan and the "noir poet laureate" in the Huffington Post, Long Island author Reed Farrel Coleman has published fourteen novels, including two stand-alones and three series. He is a three-time recipient of the Shamus Award for Best Detective Novel of the Year and a two-time Edgar Award nominee, as well as a recipient of the Macavity, Barry, and Anthony Awards.

His latest novel Gun Church features Kip Weiler, a former ’80s literary wunderkind now teaching creative writing at a rural community college. When Kip prevents his class from being slaughtered by a gun-toting student, he starts to write again, not realizing that the novel he’s working on may well be the blueprint of his own demise.

Reed will be speaking at the Sachem Public Library on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00pm. Books will be available at a discount for purchase and signing. All are welcome at this free event. Register here, or call the Welcome Desk at 631-588-5024.
