Ebooks @ Your Library

Borrow a book without leaving home!

Save yourself a trip to the library, not to mention your hard-earned dollars, by downloading library books to your eReader or other mobile devices. From the Library website, you can borrow e-books or e-audiobooks in a variety of formats for several compatible devices, including the Nook, Kobo, Sony Reader, iPad, iPhone, iPod, and various Android devices. All you need is a valid library card, Internet access, and a computer or device that meets the system requirements.

On the Library's homepage you will see E-media/Downloads in the left sidebar. Click on “Live-brary Books and Music” to get started. The link for “New Users--Click Here” will take you through the download process step-by-step. There is also a guided video tour on the site. You can search the e-book catalog from this page, or browse by format or genre. E-books may be checked out for 7 or 14 days (your choice), and you may borrow up to five at one time. No need to worry about returns or overdue fees—the book will simply disappear from your device on the due date.

If you do not have an eReader but are interested in trying one, the Library has Nooks available for borrowing. Each device comes pre-loaded with New York Times fiction and nonfiction bestsellers as well as several classic titles. Nooks circulate for 14 days, with no renewals. More information
