Did you know the top item requested by teens living in homeless shelters is a pair of jeans?

The Islip High School Junior Chamber of Commerce Club, in collaboration with South Shore Community Organization, The Town of Islip Youth Bureau, and Keep Islip Clean, is sponsoring a “Teens for Jeans” campaign at Islip High School.

Together, they have joined DOsomething.org to encourage teens to take on leadership roles in the community. This project was created to collect gently used jeans that will be donated to local homeless shelters through local Aéropostale stores and the DOsomething.org organization.

The jean collection is taking place through February 14. Donations can be dropped off at:
  • Islip High School Main Office Attn: Mrs. Clock, 2508 Union Boulevard, Islip 11751
  • Legislator Tom Cilmi’s Office, 96 E. Main Street – Suite 5, East Islip, NY 11730
