A Salute to Black Music with a Special Tribute to Duke Ellington

Pianist Levi Barcourt wowed the Sachem crowd with the Curtis Haywood band in February 2012.

Now he returns with his own band of world class musicians to perform highlights from the jazz repertoire, including the Duke Ellington classics Satin Doll, Caravan, I'm Beginning to See the Light, and Take the "A" Train, as well as songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Horace Silver. A versatile musician and recording artist, Levi has performed at numerous NYC venues including Lincoln Center, Café Carlyle, Symphony Space, and even Shea Stadium, as well as with several symphony orchestras.

All are welcome to attend these free events at the Sachem Public Library. For more information call 631-588-5024.
