What's On Sachem Patch's Boards?

The Boards are open to readers to promote news and events happening locally.

This article was written by Greg Sleter.

Did you check out the Boards this week on Sachem Patch? If not, you missed news and information posted by your neighbors.

For those that have yet to use Patch’s Boards, it’s a simple way to promote your organization’s event, share good news about your child or yourself, or perhaps even look to sell that item gathering dust in the basement. (Leave off the part about the dust.)

Here’s a look at some of the items posted this past week:

  • Reader Rachel Greenburg put out a call to those interested in hosting an Italian exchange student coming to the Patchogue area on July 8 for a three week cultural program. Check out the board to find out how you can get involved.
  • Pat Friia reminds Sachem residents that the Applebee's in Farmingville is inviting kids and their families to come celebrate in the neighborhood—and they are offering free kids meals all day long.  Families who dine at Applebee’s anytime on Thursday, July 4 will receive up to two free Kids’ Meals with each adult entrée purchased.
  • Reader Lucille Mankowich reminds us that a Dance Camp is being offered at Cayuga Elementary School July 1, 2 and 3 for grades 1-8.
  • Reader Maryellen Ruggiero announced that two college senior music students are offering private summer music lessons in Viola, Violin, Cello and or Composition. The cost is $15 for 30 minutes or $25 for 60 minutes.

Check our Boards for more information about these and other noteworthy items. And if you have something to share, use our Boards.
