Volunteers Clean Up Holbrook, Holtsville

More than 50 volunteers from the Holbrook community, including members of the Sequoya Middle School baseball team, combined to clean up over 150 bags of litter and debris from the Holbrook and Holtsville areas.

The cleanup event was sponsored by the Holbrook Beautification Committee on April 20. Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer William J. Lindsay helps to organize the committee, and offered his gratitude to all the volunteers.

"The Holbrook Beautification Committee, the local businesses of our community and I recognize and appreciate your service to the community,” Presiding Officer Lindsay stated in a release.  “We rely on the efforts of volunteers in order to maintain and beautify our communities.”
