Town of Islip to Hold Third Annual Winter Celebration
Will run from Dec. 26 through 29 and on Jan. 1 and 2.
Islip Town will hold its third annual winter celebration, "Winter by the Bay," from Dec. 26 through 29 and on Jan. 1 and 2.
This year's event will be held at the Ronkonkoma Beach Pavilion, located at the Ronkonkoma Recreation Center, 299 Rosevale Avenue, and will be open from noon to 8 p.m. each day. Opening ceremonies, including a Santa send-off by the Lakeland Fire Department, will begin at 5 p.m. on Dec. 26.
The winter celebration will include ice skating, horse and buggy rides, snowman-making contests, a fireside lounge, and more, all free of charge. Refreshments will also be available. The event is being sponsored by Cablevision, The Rinx and Brightwaters Farms.

"I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy what has become one of Islip's hallmark events," said Supervisor Nolan. "Please join me and my family this year in upholding a wonderful tradition."
