Recently Brookhaven Town Councilwoman for Farmingville and Holtsville Connie Kepert attended opening day at Wave Avenue Park in Medford.
Kepert was joined by Suffolk County Legislator Rob Calarco and Assemblyman Ed Hennessey at the April 13 ceremony.
“It was my pleasure to join with the youngsters, parents, and coaches for the season's Opening Day,” Kepert stated in a release. “Good luck to all the teams!”
Legislator Calarco stated, “It was a real pleasure to celebrate Medford Youth’s Opening Day with all these great young athletes today. Team sports teach our kids about commitment and working together and most importantly, about having fun while staying active. Today was a great day and I was truly happy to be a part of it.”
The event was put together by league organizers Carol Rosebery and Helen Lynch.
