Supervisor Romaine Kicks Off Town Fair

Brookhaven Fair runs until June 9, 2013.

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine was on hand at the 12th Annual Brookhaven Fair, which officially opened on May 24 at Bald Hill in Farmingville. Romaine presented Brian Schuman of Fair productions a citation recognizing the 12 years that the Brookhaven Fair has been in existence.   

“The Brookhaven Fair is a fun-filled outing for families like no other event," Romaine stated in a release. "After 12 years, the fair’s shows, rides and fireworks have become a tradition for lots of people here in the town, we welcome them back for another year. 

The Brookhaven Fair will be open for the last weekend, June 7, 8 and  9 and will feature "Tonk" a 7-foot-tall, 600 pound Alaskan Grizzly Bear, who performs for the crowds. 

Gates open at 5 p.m. on Fridays and at noon on all weekend days. The fair closes at midnight.  A fireworks show will be presented Saturday, June 8.
