From Pranav: My college choice is Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Troy, NY. I am going there for a dual major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering.
My hometown is Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India where I was born in 1995. My favorite teacher is Mr. Erickson, a physics teacher at Sachem East High School.
Honestly he is also someone who is special that influenced my life because he made me realize that the key to success is drive and self motivation, not 'innate talent' or extensive studying. Those who succeed in life are those who truly enjoy what they do, and have a drive to learn it on their own through self study.
I always believed in that philosophy, but I felt more comfortable knowing a man with extensive wisdom such as Mr. Erickson agreed with that philosophy, and helped me develop my views on success and furthering myself. So in a way, he really molded me into who I am today. So without a doubt, he is my favorite teacher.
