Ivan Guan's academic experience at Sachem East is as successful as it is diverse. Guan is a member of the National Honor Society, treasurer of the Science National Honor Society, has run cross country for four years, earning a county championship in the 9th grade, and was the president of the physics club. He was also vice president of Tzu Chi, a Bhuddist organization that promotes cultural values.
Guan is headed to Johns Hopkins University in the fall.
