Sachem Schools Produce Budget Video

YouTube video spells out budget proposal and how board members approached the daunting numbers.

Officials of the Sachem Central School District put together a 7-minute YouTube video aimed at explaining the district's proposed 2013-14 budget, which is up for vote on May 21.

The video features Superintendent James Nolan, Associate Superintendent for Business Bruce Singer, Board of Education Vice President Sal Tripi and Board President Rob Scavo. During the video the speakers explain the proposed 7.49% tax increase and how it will allow the district to maintain certain programs that may be back on the chopping block if the budget should fail.

The video is available on the official YouTube channel of The Sachem Report and can be viewed by clicking here

The public votes on the budget in just seven days.
