The Sachem North Boys Lacrosse Team lost to second-seeded Smithtown West 13-8 in the second round of the Suffolk Class A playoffs on Tuesday.
After grabbing an early 2-0 lead and hitting the pipe on a chance at 3-0, the Bulls stormed back with three unanswered goals.
Smithtown West's defense buckled down in the 3rd quarter and the offense was able to out score North 6-1 in the frame.
Smithtown West will move on to play Northport who eliminated Bay Shore earlier today.
For Sachem North, Coach Jay Mauro summed it up this way:
"The 2014 season starts tomorrow."
