Sachem Alum Can Plan Your Event

Sachem alum Maria Paladino started a boutique event-planning business a few years ago serving from New York City to Montauk.

She provides full event coordination, management and execution for weddings, private parties and corporate functions.

"I have always loved planning events,” said Paladino, a Sachem alum from the Class of 1992. “Whether it was a big holiday dinner, birthday party for my kids, or a wedding for a friend, I put so much love into the details to create a truly special, unique event.

“So naturally, when I pondered starting a business that would allow me to do something I truly loved, while still being able to work a flexible schedule around my family, event planning was a clear choice." 

Her company, named Paladin Events, plans all types of events - dinner parties, themed events, private parties, corporate events, and of course, weddings.

Paladino, the principal and owner of Paladin Event, has several years experience planning events including quaint dinner parties, themed parties, pool-side soiree's, and weddings on the North Shore, in The Hamptons and on the North Fork of Long Island from small and elegant to upscale and posh.

She has worked with, and developed solid partnerships with celebrity caterers, fashion-renowned photographers, award-winning floral designers and a plethora of quality, perfection-driven event professionals. She has been regarded by her peers as calm, level-headed and very easy to work with both prior to, and during events.

Prior to starting her own company, she spent four years as a senior marketing manager for an upscale Long Island residential developer. During this time, she honed her marketing and organizational skills, and planned several large, corporate-level events - most notably, involving the Mayor of New York City. Maria left her post to raise a family, and her affinity and love of planning -both on a personal level as well as a professional one, soon turned into a passion to want to bring her talent, organization, attention to detail and precision to brides and clients from New York City to Montauk. And thus, Paladin Events was born!

Maria currently lives in Nesconset with her husband of 11 years, and their 3 children.
