Ronkonkoma Chamber Holds 'Heart and Soul' Awards Dinner

The Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce recently honored Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore at the Chamber’s 22nd Annual Heart and Soul Dinner at Windows on the Lake in Ronkonkoma. 

The Heart and Soul awards are given to individuals whom the Chamber feels exemplifies dedication and service to the community, according to a release. In total, nine people received a 2013 Heart and Soul award.

“I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” Legislator Muratore stated in a release. “For several years, I’ve had the pleasure of attending this event and recognizing some very outstanding people. To be among those honored in the past and present, I consider myself to be in great company.”

Muratore was nominated by Legislator John Kennedy.

“I was pleased and honored to nominate Tom for recognition by the Ronkonkoma Chamber,” Kennedy stated. “Tom’s been a tireless advocate for the community, and has a keen sense of what’s best for his constituents.”
