Prep for Snow this Weekend

Eastern Long Island expected to get 2-4 inches on Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for eastern Long Island and most south shore locations on Saturday from 1-4 a.m.

The conditions will consist of snow with a rain mix that could change to completely rain by Saturday afternoon. Weather.com is reporting Long Island will get 2-4 inches of snow and the storm will bring winds of 5-10 mph.

The temperatures will be in the teens to lower 20s late on Friday evening, rising to the mid and upper 30s on Saturday afternoon.

The weather service said visibility will be one half mile in moderate snow on Saturday morning.

The storm could bring travel difficulties on the roads, so be sure to use precaution if you need to drive.
