Day after Irene will be sluggish with clean up.
The lasting impacts of Hurricane Irene could be great. The sun may be shining Monday, but the day will largely be focused on clean up.
Suffolk County parks, beaches and golf courses will remain closed Monday to allow staff to clear trees and debris and assess flooding.
Also, all state parks and historic sites in the Long Island are temporarily closed until further notice.
