North Track Star Named All-Long Island
Melissa Michels puts on impressive spring season, capped off with this honor.
Sachem North track and field star Melissa Michels was named Second Team All-Long Island this spring.
According to the Sachem Report, Michels' season featured All-Federation (200, 4×100), All-State (100, 200, 4×100), and All County (100, 200, 4×100) performances.
Michels also set three new Sachem records on the track (100, 200, 4×100) and added a fourth record with her single season dual meet point total of 80 points scored in Section XI’s League 2, according to the report.
