Sachem

Police have arrested two people, including one on a murder charge in connection with an early morning stabbing in Holbook, law enforcement officials said. Robert Gregory, 19, of Farmingville, is charged with second degree murder stemming from the incident outside of Momo's Bar & Grill on Union Avenue around midnight Wednesday that killed Holbrook's Julian Pena.

West Islip

Thomas Labetti, the West Islip 15-year-old hit by a car while riding his bicycle in town two weeks ago, has died of his injuries in the hospital, Suffolk County Police confirmed Thursday night.

Babylon Village

An early evening shooting Wednesday in West Babylon has left one man in serious condition, according to Suffolk County Police.  Police have identified the shooting victim as Malik Taylor, 19, of West Babylon. Taylor was standing in the street outside of his home at about 6:35 p.m. when he was shot three times by an unknown man in a passing vehicle.  The shooter was allegedly sitting in the passenger seat of an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.

Deer Park-North Babylon

A portion of Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon will be renamed in honor of a fallen soldier and Babylon High School alum this November.

Patchogue

A Patchogue woman was arrested Saturday after driving on the Southern State Parkway in the North Bellmore area with a suspended license and with drugs in her vehicle, New York State Police said. Her husband, a passenger in the car, was also arrested, police said.

Lindenhurst

A Lindenhurst man was one of two people arrested in connection with the 2008 killing of a Narrowsburg, N.Y., woman, New York State Police said.
