Patchogue

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Medford that took place Wednesday morning. Officers responded to 82 Rose Lane in the Gordon Heights neighborhood following a 5:41 a.m. 911 call of shots fired at the location. Police discovered the body of 32-year-old Ronald Fitzgerald, of Medford, lying on the front porch of the home.

A car crash on Montauk Highway in Blue Point closed both lanes for four hours early Tuesday and the driver was arrested for DWI, according to Suffolk Police.

I enjoyed this website when it was actually "local". Started out as Bayport-Blue Point. Then hooked up with Sayville. Not a problem. If I feel the need to know about "breaking news" in Babylon, I'll tune in to News 12. C'mon Patch people....go back to local stuff!

We are local and run around-the-area stuff on weekends to keep people in the loop on what's happening in neighboring areas.

Ronkonkoma should have its own patch. Population density, industry, MASS transportation( Macarthur and Ronkonkoma train station), Crime ( which has led the suffolk county drug mapping index for heroin since 2008...check the stats scpd website)...schools - Connetquot where i graduated from and parts of Sachem....come on go local ill write it im a senior in college....
