A car crashed through the front of a Patchogue 7-Eleven Tuesday afternoon. Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Sachem
Fighter jets were forced to intercept a wayward plane over Suffolk County Monday night after the small aircraft pierced a temporary no-fly zone, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

Lauren Koepke, a student at Paul J. Bellew Elementary School in West Islip, was a winner of the Town of Islip Earth Day Poster Contest.  Lauren, a 3rd grader, designed her winning poster as part of Bellew's Recycling Club.

Lindenhurst
A new bill to be introduced before the Suffolk County Legislature on Tuesday would require all boat operators to complete a boating safety course. Under the Suffolk Safer Waterways Act, sponsored by Legislator Steve Stern, D-Dix Hills, boaters would need to display a safety course certificate while boating or face fines.
