March 4: Hoops, Junior Banquet, ACT Deadline

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around the Sachem community ... from school events to sports games and Town of Brookhaven and Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.

1. County Title Game: The Sachem East girls basketball team will play Deer Park in the Suffolk County Class AA final at Farmingdale State College. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Head down to support Sachem in its quest for a second consecutive county championship.

2. Junior Banquet: Don't forget juniors, Friday night from 7-11 p.m. Sachem High Schools East and North will have their junior banquets.

3. Registration Deadline: If you're a student/parent, the deadline to register for the April 9 ACT is today.

4. PTA Scholarship Night: Friday is also PTA Council Scholarship Sports Night in the gymnasium at Sachem High School North starting at 7:30 p.m.
