Here's what's happening today in the Sachem community.

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around the Sachem community ... from school events to sports games and Town of Brookhaven and Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.

1. : If you missed Saturday's donor registry day at Sachem North to take a cheek swab in hopes of saving young Nick Franzi's life, you have an opportunity to do so at Sachem East from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday.

2. : Sachem East will host its annual event where multiple district figures like Superintendent James Nolan, Sachem East Principal Rory Manning and Sachem East football coach Mark Wojciechowski will all have their heads shaved to raise money for cancer awareness.

3. SCORE Workshop: The Town of Brookhaven will host another SCORE Workshop from 6:30-9 p.m. at town hall. This one will go over marketing your own business and financial management and record-keeping in small business.

4. Spring is in the air: That's right. Start putting the winter clothes away and getting the spring attire ready. Spring is officially here today!
