LIRR Suspended on Ronkonkoma Branch from Hicksville

LIRR reporting extensive track damage.

Service remains suspended on the Ronkonkoma branch of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) between Hicksville and Ronkonkoma, according to LIRR officials.

The LIRR said personnel is on the scene and preliminary reports indicate extensive track damage.

They say tracks will be out of service for several hours.

The LIRR is urging customers to utilize the Babylon/Montauk and Huntington/Port Jefferson Branches.

"We apologize for any inconvenience," the LIRR said on the MTA website.
