Jan. 20: Town Work Session, Library Movie, College Night at North
Here's what's happening Thursday in the Sachem community.
Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around the Sachem community ... from school events to sports games and Town of Brookhaven and Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.
1. For parents of college-bound juniors at Sachem High School North, there is a workshop starting at 7 p.m. at the high school.
2. At 1:30 p.m., the Sachem Public Library will be showing the movie "The Young Victoria," a portrayal of the turbulent first years of Queen Victoria's rule, and her enduring romance with Prince Albert. Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend and Miranda Richardson star.

3. Safe, supervised teen programming provided by Islip Youth Bureau agency, South Shore Community Organization (SSCO). It's held at the Joyce Fitzpatrick Center in East Islip.
4. Town Work Session: Catch a Town of Brookhaven work session meeting from 1:30-4 p.m.
