Jan. 15: Wiffle Ball, Library Fun, Town Youth Services

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around the Sachem community ... from school events to sports games and Town of Brookhaven and Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.

Head down to Give It Your All Sports on Ronkonkoma. Indoor Wiffle Ball League! 6 x 6. Games will be played on Saturdays (10-11 a.m., 11-12 p.m., 12-1 p.m.) $50.00 a player. Boys and Girls 14 years and under.

2. Town of Islip Youth Services: Youth Enrichment Services (YES) provides supervised enrichment programming for grades 1 - 4 on most Saturdays. Activities take place at Caesar Trunzo Senior Citizen Center in Brentwood.

3. Library activities: Get creative on Saturday mornings with this fun program at the Sachem Public Library ... Enjoy a short story followed by an exciting craft your family can make together. Materials for this program will appeal to preschoolers three years old and up, but all are welcome to attend. No registration and it lasts about 45 minutes starting at 10 a.m.

4. Wrestling: Head down to Sachem High School North around 8 a.m. for a tournament featuring both Sachem High School North and East.
