Islip Earth Day This Saturday In Sayville

There's a unique art contest for those feeling creative. The Town of Islip in cooperation with the Sayville Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the 23rd annual Earth Day Celebration in downtown Sayville on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you're feeling very creative enter the Recycled Art Contest with artwork made completely from recycled materials in this competition. Entries are judged in three categories: Children (up to age 11), young Adult (age 12-17) and Adult (18+). (All entries must be submitted at the KIC tent by 3:00 p.m.).

Vendors and exhibitors with earth friendly good and services will be there. There will be dance exhibitions, music and even the town's recycling mascots will be on hand. Raindate is Sunday, April 28.
