Holiday Lights in the Sachem Community
Take a look at some of the brightest homes around.
'Tis the season for holiday decorating, and Sachem Patch wants to recognize those who take this suburban ritual far beyond the average string of lights and plastic snowmen. We're looking for the heroes, the kings and queens of the holiday lights. We're be looking for extreme creativity, whimsy and style as well. Here's a hint: animatronics wins extra points.
But we can't walk every street, so the best way to get noticed is to send us the photos yourselves. Don't worry if your trusty point-and-shoot takes a terrible night shot. We'll happily send a photographer your way to get a better picture if we need to. Just e-mail the photos to Sachem Patch editor Chris R. Vaccaro at Chris@Patch.com.
Local winners will be selected the week of the 19th, and those will be entered into a larger, Long Island Patch-wide competition for the best in the land.
