Holbrook Resident Gets Student Teacher Scholarship

One of eight student teachers awarded $1,000 by NEFCU on Long Island.

Holbrook resident Jennifer Busacca has been awarded a $1,000 student teacher scholarship by NEFCU.

NEFCU recognized eight student teachers from Long Island colleges and universities for their exemplary academic achievements.

“We would like to recognize Jennifer for the hard work and dedication she has shown at Dowling College,” said Valerie Garguilo, Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations for NEFCU, in a statement. “We believe Jennifer will make a difference in the Long Island community and we are proud to recognize her achievements.”

“I worked with Literacy Classes grades K – 2 at Belmont elementary school,” said Busacca. “I look forward to Student Teaching full time at the school in the fall."
