On Tuesday, May 28 the Sachem Board of Education held a budget hearing to hash out a revised spending plan to present to the community on June 18.
The board is attempting to put out a plan that requires a 3.14% tax levy increase by slashing $6 million in expenses. Numerous programs and clubs are on the chopping block either in part or in whole.
