Long Islanders have been spending the past few days preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Irene. Irene, a Category 3 storm, has already barreled through the Caribbean Islands.
She’s expected to hit Long Island somewhere between Saturday night and Sunday morning, bringing with her strong winds, heavy rain and most likely, coastal flooding.
Patch will be providing updates on road closures, power outages and more throughout the storm, although you can help report the action as well. Here’s how:

Report Outages
