"Enrolling as a Coast Guard Cadet shows incredible selflessness and dedication to service of others and to this great country of ours," Graf stated in a release. "As a Navy veteran, I want to welcome her to the ranks of those who have endeavored to serve the people of our nation.  Young women like Megan and the many young men and women that volunteer to protect our way of life should be celebrated."
