Full-Day Kindergarten At Sachem Restored

State aid allows Sachem administrators to reinstate full-day program provided the tax cap budget passes on June 18.

The Sachem Board of Education announced that state leaders have secured $650,000 in bullet aid which, in conjunction with some district finessing, has restored full-day kindergarten to the 2013-14 budget.

Associate Superintendent Bruce Singer said there will be no time to mail out an updated budget brochure, but will spread the word through social networking and the website.

Sachem Patch will have more on this development later.
