Farmingville Woman, 3 Others Arrested In Patchogue Robbery

Police say suspect was lured to end of Cedar Avenue and robbed at knife point.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Farmingville woman and three other suspects for allegedly robbing a man at knife point in his car in Patchogue over the weekend.

Police say that on July 19 a 53-year-old New Jersey man met two women outside of Rudi's Bar & Grill on Route 112 in Patchogue and took the women to a nearby diner. After the diner, the man drove the two women in his 1999 Toyota to the end of Cedar Avenue and parked the car at around 1:40 a.m.

It was then that police say three men approached the vehicle from behind. One of the men brandished a knife. The victim was robbed of his wallet, cell phone and the satellite radio installed in his car. One of the suspects reportedly threw the victim's keys away.

When the victim found his keys he drove to the Fifth Precinct and reported the incident to officers at the desk. A short time later, a Fifth Precinct officer out on patrol noticed a 2009 Toyota Camry make a turn without using a signal. The officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed that four of the five occupants matched the broadcast description of the robbers.

A knife and a radio were recovered in the vehicle, while the victim's wallet and cell phone were found a short distance away, according to police.
