Crime Report: Stolen Credit Card, Vehicle Fire

A look at recent crime in Ronkonkoma.

The following incidents and arrests were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's automated reporting system. 

Ronkonkoma

  • A call to 911 was made about a grand larceny in a back yard on Lincoln Avenue on June 4 at around 1 a.m. According to police a debit card was stolen from the complainant. Police say two charges were attempted at a Staples and a 7-11. No arrests have been made at this time.
  • Police responded to an arson call on Renwick Road on May 29 at around 10:45 p.m. According to police a call was made to 911 regarding a vehicle fire. When police responded to Renwick Road they discovered a blue Ford van in a wooded area that had sustained fire damage. Arson is investigating. The car was impounded.
  • Police responded to a burglary call on May 30. According to police the complainant reported that sometime between February 10 and May 30, an unknown subject entered a residence on Eastview Drive without permission through an unsecured front door and proceeded to force open two safes that were on top of a piece of furniture in one of the rooms. The suspect removed a large amount of cash from the safes. The investigation is continuing.
  • There were no arrests for serious offenses in Ronkonkoma this week.
