Crime Report: Road Rage on Grundy

A look at recent crime in Holbrook.

The following information was culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's automated reporting and arrest database.

Holbrook

  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call on June 24 on the eastbound side of the Sunrise Highway at around 5:45 p.m. According to police the complainant was driving his 2006 Lincoln eastbound on the highway when a white box truck attempted to merge into his lane. When the box truck failed to merge, a person in the truck reportedly threw a full plastic water bottle at the Lincoln, causing a dent in the fender. No arrests were made.
  • Police answered a road rage call on Grundy Avenue on June 23 at around 3:45 p.m. According to police two vehicles were driving along Grundy Avenue when one cut the other off. The female driver of the one vehicle glanced the fender of the male driver's other vehicle. When the two drivers stopped at the corner of Grundy and Terry Boulevard, the woman reportedly jumped out of her vehicle and struck the male driver. No arrests were made in the incident.
  • Police responded to a criminal mischief call on June 18 on Main Street at around 6 p.m. According to police an unknown person or persons spray painted graffiti on the sign at Spies Travel. 
  • Police answered a call for aggravated harassment on June 19 on Grundy Avenue at around 7 p.m. According to police the complainant claimed her son was receiving threats via Facebook. 
  • There were no arrests for serious offenses in Holbrook this week.
