Crime Report: Burglaries, Bar Assault


The following information was culled from the Suffolk County Police Department’s automated reporting and arrest database.

Farmingville

Police responded to a burglary on August 2 at around 9:17 p.m. According to police an unknown person entered a residence on Morris Avenue and kicked down the bedroom door. Police say the suspect then punched the victim in the face. Nothing was stolen from the residence. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to a burglary on August 2 at around 4:30 p.m. According to police an unknown subject entered a residence on Highland Place through a rear sliding door and stole assorted jewelry. There were no arrests made.

Police answered a call for assault at Mister Lucky's bar on August 4. According to police a man was sitting at the bar on Mooney Pond Road at around 5:30 p.m. when he was struck from behind by an unknown assailant. The victim fell to the floor. He was transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center and treated for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to a burglary on August 4 at around 2 p.m. According to police an unknown subject pushed his way into a home on Henry Street by shoving the air conditioner out of the window. The subject stole a flat-screen TV from the home. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Robert M. Rogers Jr., of Farmingville was arrested on August 4 for DWI with two previous convictions in the last 10 years.
