Crime Report: Bad Relationships, Worse Neighbors

A look at police incidents and arrests in Ronkonkoma this week.

The following incidents and arrests in Ronkonkoma were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's media page.

Ronkonkoma

  • Police responded to a burglary on Elder Lane on April 24 at around 6:35 a.m.
  • Police answered a call for harassment on April 22 on Calvert Avenue at around 9 p.m. According to the complaint description a number of subjects had been bullying the complainant's 12-year-old daughter through text messages.
  • Police responded to a harassment call on Johnson Avenue at around 1 a.m. on April 20. The call involved a dispute between the complainant and her ex.
  • Police answered a call for harassment on Old Portion Road on April 21 at around 12:30 p.m. According to the description a violent wife allegedly threw a cup at her husband. 
  • Police were called to Babcock Avenue on two separate occasions, first on April 18 and then on April 22 in response to a dispute between neighbors. According to the call description the complainant's neighbor was threatening to run over her daughter. 
  • There were no arrests for serious offenses in Ronkonkoma this week.
