Crime Report: Angry Customers, Raging Uncles

The following incidents and arrests in Ronkonkoma were culled from the Suffolk County Police Department's media page.

Ronkonkoma

  • Police responded to a harassment call at a business on Portion Road on April 16 at around noon. According to the complaint description a known male subject went behind the counter and threatened the complainant.
  • Police answered a call for harassment on Sycamore Avenue on April 15 at around 10:15 a.m. According to the complaint description the complainant's violent uncle tried to attack a customer at the location.
  • Police responded to a dispute between a father and son on Greis Avenue on April 14 at around 6:30 p.m. According to the complaint description the son was waiting in front of the incident location for police to arrive.
  • Police answered a call for petit larceny on Portion Road on April 13 at around 2 p.m. According to the complaint description a subject took merchandise and fled in a silver vehicle.
  • Police answered a harassment call on Feureisen Avenue on April 13 at around 8 p.m. According to the complaint description a man's 20-year-old son was on steroids and in a rage and began to choke his father during a dispute at the location.
  • Mauro Mino, of Ronkonkoma was arrested in Shirley on April 13 for second-degree sexual abuse of a person younger than 14 years of age.
