Brookhaven Hosts Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Over 1,000 show up for holiday spectacle. Santa arrives on fire truck.

Last week Brookhaven officials were joined by over 1,000 town residents to light the Christmas tree at Brookhaven Town Hall.

The annual event featured performances by the Brookhaven Town talent show winners including singers Stephanie Eso, Meredith Brandise, Laura Lorenzo and Ashley Beard, jazz, hip-hop and lyrical dancers, the William Floyd High School Select Chorus, and the Rocky Point High School Singing Santas.

“The annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is a wonderful tradition in the Town and it was great to see so many residents out with their family and friends to enjoy it again this year,” said Supervisor Mark Lesko, in a statement, “On behalf of the Town Board, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season."
