In sports news, on the baseball field Tuesday, Sachem North edged West Islip 10-9, while Sachem East fell to Bay Shore 12-1. The Sachem East girls track team is off to a solid start this spring as they defeated defending league champ Northport Tuesday by a score of 92-58.
