1. Brookhaven Planning Board: The Town of Brookhaven will meet from 4-10 p.m. at town hall in Farmingville.
2. Lawn Maintenance: At the Sachem Public Library from 6:30-8:30 p.m., John Miller will share tips on lawn maintenance. Topics to be discussed: care and feeding of turf grass, when to fertilize and with what, watering, tools, insects, diseases that can affect turf grass.
3. Career Counseling: One-on-one counseling with Janet Cassidy at the library. Call the Welcome Desk for an appointment. Takes place from 5-9 p.m.
4. Library Book Discussion: This afternoon at 3 p.m., the Sachem Public Library's book discussion will be about "Justice for All: Earl Warren and the Nation He Made". This biography of former Chief Justice Earl Warren draws on previously unavailable government documents and new interviews to re-evaluate his integral roles in some of the defining political moments of the 20th century, from school desegregation to the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.
