April 12: Lacrosse, Town Board, Bone Marrow

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around the Sachem community ... from school events to sports games and Town of Brookhaven and Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.

1. Lacrosse: Sachem North will travel to West Islip for a highly anticipated battle against the Lions. Both teams are ranked in the top 10 nationally and West Islip is looking to avenge its overtime defeat from last season. Sachem East will host Lindenhurst at home at 4:30 p.m.

2. Zoning Board: The Town of Islip Zoning Board will meet at town hall at 7:30 p.m.

3. Town Board: The Town of Brookhaven Town Board will host its monthly meeting at town hall starting at 5 p.m.

4. Bone Marrow Screening: Another bone marrow screening to fine a donor for a Sachem student in need will be held at Stony Brook University Medical Center. .
