Animal Cruelty, Free Concert, '73 Reunion Sum Up Today In Sachem

A look at some happenings in and around Sachem for Tuesday, July 23.

Here's a look at some of what's happening today in the Sachem community and surrounding area.

Yesterday we reported on a kitten that had been stuffed in a brown paper bag and left for dead in a Holbrook driveway. The resident who found him took him to Brookhaven Animal Shelter, but sadly the little feline died from his injuries. Read the story today if you missed it.

Tonight the Michael McDonald/Doobie Brother's tribute band "Minute-By-Minute" will be putting on a live concert in the Nesconset Gazebo at 7:30 p.m. The event has a charitable component as the organizers of the free event are asking concert goers to bring canned goods or a monetary donation for LI Cares.
